Creating a Canadian SD-WAN Powerhouse delivering cost-effective advanced, secure software-defined networks and transforming telecommunications
North Vancouver, BC., December 19, 2019 — Turnium Technology Group Inc., (TTGI) today announced it has completed the acquisition of Turnium Technologies (www.turnium.com) and Plait Networks (www.plait.io), two startup companies in the rapidly growing Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) market.
Acquiring Turnium and Plait adds over 185 customers and existing channel relationships with value-added resellers and integrators across Canada to TTGI. The Turnium acquisition also delivers proprietary intellectual property.
“Turnium Technology Group is at an exciting point. Acquiring these managed SD-WAN providers (Turnium and Plait) positions us to execute on our business plan, finalize our next acquisition targets and add to TTGI’s portfolio. Turnium and Plait deliver revenue and margin with strong sales and funnels of contracted revenue over the next 24 to 36 months,” said Johan Arnet, CEO of Turnium Technology Group Inc. “Together with other potential acquisitions this enhances TTGI’s revenue and delivers capabilities to scale our SD-WAN offers to customers and channel partners globally.”
Gartner forecasts the global SD-WAN market to reach $34.9B USD by 2022 based on the cost-savings and performance increases companies gain by moving from traditional telecommunications-based MPLS services to Internet-based SD-WAN. TTGI provides the technology, infrastructure and services that Enterprise customers need to save money and increase performance.
Some of Turnium’s customers include the David Suzuki Foundation and the Jim Pattison Group.
