Cloud Native Containerized SD-WAN as a Managed Service – Turnium’s SD-WAN 2.0 – at KubeCon 2019

Turnium’s SD-WAN 2.0 at KubeCon 2019

Turnium’s managed, containerized SD-WAN is part of an E2E 5G cloud native network demonstration at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2019 on the keynote stage November 20, 2019 at 10:03 am Pacific time. The Proof-of-Concept (PoC) illustrates how network services are going cloud native and provides a real-world example of how to deliver a multi-vendor cloud-based virtual central office.

Cloud native, containerized SD-WAN as a Managed Service allows Turnium to take advantage of the flexibility offered by containers at the edge. This non-traditional philosophy coupled with our technological innovations makes our containerized SD-WAN and highly efficient core virtual networking functionality the next generation of SD-WAN, or SD-WAN 2.0.

The PoC was driven by the LF Networking community as part of the Virtual Central Office 3.0 (VCO 3.0) initiative. Together with other participants, an end-to-end cloud container-based platform will be showcased at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation event at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2019 (Schedule) November 20th in San Diego.

We are bringing our cloud-native containerized layer-3 solution to the VCO 3.0 initiative and participating with industry-leading vendors and providers to deliver a fully containerized, end-to-end, cloud-based networking solution built on open infra using OPNFV, K8s + other OSS tech.

As part of the demo, Turnium is providing the layer-3 virtual network that connects multiple private and public clouds securely. The PoC will illustrate that the importance of flexible networking solutions such as SD-WAN and how containerized SD-WAN can deploy a solution quickly, making your network more affordable and easier to manage and maintain.

Turnium SD-WAN delivers increased flexibility, control and management to networks. By building virtual networks over top of any underlying network technology or provider, Turnium enables businesses and service providers to reach any branch office, any location that can get Internet.

Turnium’s containerized Trusted Network as a Service (TNaaS) delivers a turnkey solution running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, giving Turnium a complete cloud native containerized layer-3 solution.
